Who are we?
- Diepsociety Records is a small record label located in JHB North, founded and bred by Obakeng Matlapeng since 2012. Officially launched in September 2013, Diepsociety Records introduced themselves to the world with a mix tape which comprised of various artists like Royaltee, Slanger, Tabby Code, Hurricane, Ziggy and many more. The business is aiming to use available resources to create better quality sounds and sharing this skill in order to improve the level of artistry in Diepsloot. The goal is to use the music created by Diepsociety Records to make it in the music industry, be able to make profits and help create employment in the Diepsloot society. It can cost an artist R200 to record a single inside Diepsociety Records Studio (with your own instrumentals), right up to R3500 to record an album. The price is slightly higher if an artist uses Diepsociety Records’ instrumentals/beats.
