Who are we?

Build the Future Foundation began in 2007 as a way to empower and support the at-risk young people in our communities by raising funds for Connect, an adventure-based learning program. Today our vision has grown as we build partnerships, programs and safe places for young people from diverse backgrounds and experiences in our community. Why do we do this? Because we believe that every young person has huge potential, and this is evident in the significant resilience and courage they show in growing through and overcoming many life experiences and challenges. We think that the rising rate of school disengagement, isolation, mental health issues and self-harm behaviours, and the increased prevalence of risk factors in young peoples’ lives calls for action and support from the wider community.
